Helloooo!! It is Day 4 of the challenge, and today our theme is Pink. I like pink, but I really don't wear it too much. To get inspired for this mani I just went on Shutterstock and looked at some pink patterns. I saw some stripes and thought of one of my favorite nail bloggers, Jane from Nailside! She does some of the most amazing random stripe manis, this one in particular inspired me.
The (all untried!) colors I used for this look were Ciate Cutie Pie (2 coats as the base), Ciate Cupcake Queen, OPI Miami Beet, and Illamasqua Jo'mina. Cutie Pie is a sheer ballerina pink, very delicate and girly. Cupcake Queen is a bright pink with a blue shimmer. Both of these colors are minis from the advent calender they put out this winter. Miami Beet is a deep, rich pink... not something I would normally pick out for myself but a coworker gave this to me with some other polishes she didn't use. Jo'mina is a fabulous bright pastel lilac. I am sooo happy I used my VIB gift card from Sephora to get this one... it has been on my wishlist forever and I didn't have a color like this in my collection. I know the theme was pink, but the purple just looked so good with the other colors that I couldn't resist throwing it in the mix!
I did all of the stripes freehand with a medium length striper brush. I am so proud of how neat they turned out! I think this would be so cute to wear as a Valentine's Day mani.
I think I will be doing some more stripes in the future because these turned out so successfully!
Very Pretty!
