Hello loves! You may remember that Missy from Gnarly Gnails and I started this series together back in July. Unfortunately we only did one go round of it before other stuff got in the way and it was postponed. This month we are finally back on track, and hopefully we will continue to be for a little while!
The mani I decided to revamp this time is one of the first nail art posts I ever did on this blog! On the left in the graphic above you see a fall leaves stamped mani which I did around Thanksgiving two years ago. I actually still really like the original mani, although the photos are crap, so I decided to not completely copy the same mani but just do a new version of it while keeping with the fall theme.
For the base of this mani I did an abstract brush stroke mani (tutorial from Gorgeois Pig here) with a bunch of different fall colors. I started with one coat of Kiko 369, which is a sort of mustard color. Then I added the brush strokes using China Glaze Cross Iron 360, Superficially Colorful Lacquer Enthralled, Gina Tricot Pump the Breaks, and Kiko 245 (a shimmery burgundy).
The stamping was done with CND Gold Chrome on all nails except the ring, which I made a stamp decal for using a black polish and GT Pump the Breaks. The plates are from the Holiday Bundle Monster set. I used BM-H11 and BM-H12.
So, there you have it! Which version do you prefer?
Don't forget to pop over to Gnarly Gnails and see what she's redone for today's post! And check back in on the 15th to see us revamp one of each other's manis from the past.
Gorgeous!!! I love both manis to be honest! I am so in love with fall mani's right now, this was a great choice!
