Guest Post from Jacki of Adventures in Acetone

Hi loves!  I'm sure all of us have a few nail bloggers who we were just in awe of before we started our own blogs, and today I have a guest post for you from a lady who was one of those to me!  Jacki from Adventures in Acetone is always doing the most amazing and intricate nail art, and to top it all off she is just the biggest sweetheart.  I'm hoping to have some time to meet up with her in real life while we are in Florida this month.  Keep reading to see the nail art she has come up with today!

Hello, Smashley Sparkles readers! I'm so happy to be here today! I'm Jacki, and you may know me from my blog Adventures In Acetone. I know that Ashley loves green and purple combos for nail art so I just had to do that combo for today's guest post!

  • I started out with 2 coats of Elevation Polish Wuyi Mountain. This is a really pretty green with blue shimmer.
  • Once it was completely dry, I used striping tape to do a criss cross design all over the nails. (Similar to this tutorial I did with textured polishes last month.)
  • Then, I used a torn makeup sponge and Picture Polish Amethyst to do a gradient from the tips toward the cuticle. The blue simmer and flakies in Amethyst tied in so nicely with Wuyi Mtn!
  • After I removed the striping tape, I was left with this design with the diamonds fading that were closest to the cuticle.
  • Lastly, I used HKGirl top coat to seal it all in!

What do you think of this look? I really liked how it turned out and wore it for a few days!

Thank you for reading, and a big THANK YOU to Ashley for letting my guest post for you all today!
