Shimmer Polish Julia - Swatches and Review

 Shimmer Polish Julia

Hi all!  Bet you can't guess what I'm going to say here... Welcome back to Shimmer Polish week, of course! Today I will share Shimmer Polish Julia with you.  Julia is a great winter-y polish... I am already concocting another mani with this one over white, like ice and snow.

Julia is a mix of ice blue, silver, and iridescent glitters.  The iridescent ones are similar to China Glaze Snow Globe.  Like I have said before, these apply like a dream, and Julia is no exception.  This is another one that I don't have anything similar to in my collection, so I love that.

Again, in all of my Shimmer swatches I will show you a few different ways you can wear each polish.  On my index finger I have 3 coats with no base color.  On my middle finger I have a base color with one coat of the Shimmer.  On my ring finger I have a base color with two coats of the Shimmer.  On my pinkie I have one coat of black as a base with one coat of the Shimmer.

Here is my index macro.  Two coats of Julia over two coats of OPI What's With the Cattitude.  Doesn't it make you think of icicles?

Macro shot of my index finger, with three coats of Julia and no undies.  You get such a different look on this one without layering it, which I love.  Versatility of polishes is important when you have a smaller collection (unlike me) because you can get many different looks from one bottle!

And on my pinky, over black.  The black lets you see more colors from the iridescent pieces.  Which layering (or non layering) combo do you prefer on this one?

  2. I *LOVE* it over the black too!! Though, yes, over Cattitude, it's definitely icicle-y!
