Shimmer Polish Katherine
Hi everyone! Today is the start of a week of Shimmer Polish swatches! I am so excited to share these with you... If you don't have any Shimmer Polishes, and you are a glitter lover, you need some! Cindy's creation are a nice break from the huge chunky glitters of the indie polish world. They still have a beautiful mix of colors and shapes, but are a bit less in your face and are easier to work with since you don't have to place glitters or fish for the big ones.
Shimmer Polish Katherine is a beautiful bronze micro glitter. This is one of two that I got which are made up of all small glitters, very little difference in sizes. (There are still some slight differences which were visible in my macro shots, but not so much to the naked eye. I think this adds greatly to the depth of the polish.) It does have a mix of different colors though. I see bronze, orange, red, and chocolate brown in there... I believe the orange and red are flashes from one of the other colors. This is a great color for Thanksgiving and fall in general!
In all of my Shimmer swatches I will show you a few different ways you can wear each polish. On my index finger I have 3 coats with no base color. On my middle finger I have a base color with one coat of the Shimmer. On my ring finger I have a base color with two coats of the Shimmer. On my pinkie I have one coat of black as a base with one coat of the Shimmer.
For Katherine I chose Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Coco-a-Go-Go as my colored base. You can see in my photos that Katherine is so dense that is is difficult to tell the difference between one coat and two. All the Shimmer Polishes that I have tried are certainly wearable alone at three coats.
This is a macro of my ring finger, which again is two coats of Katherine over one coat of SH Coco-a-Go-Go. Click these photos to enlarge!
This macro is my index, with three coats of Katherine and no undies. Look at that gorgeous glow!!
