The Digit-al Dozen Does Red, Green, and Gold: Earthquake Mani

Hi there!  Today I have another DD mani which was inspired by the lovely Emma from Manicurity!  This time I've tried out the nail art dubbed an earthquake mani, because it looks like the lines on a seismograph.  I saw her do this on a past DD challenge and I thought it looked really fun, so I gave it a go.

This mani started out with two coats of China Glaze Poinsettia, then I painted half of each nail with China Glaze Holly-day.  I didn't use tape or anything, just freehanded it on with the polish brush.  Then I used a nail art brush and CND Gold Chrome to make the zig zag lines down the center.

So what do you think of this technique? Will you be trying the Earthquake Mani?

Have a peek at what the other ladies have come up with today!

I like this! I should really give it a shot someday. :) I really love the green you used, in particular. So deep and delicious-looking...
