Hi there lovely readers! Maybe you remember earlier this year when I reviewed a Linda Johansen Nail Candy polish called Razzle Dazzle. Today I have two more polishes from this brand to show you, both of which are part of the recent Ballroom collection.
First up we have Linda Johansen Wienna Waltz. WW is a light peach nude color. I would say its a jelly, since its fairly sheer. In the photo below I've shown 2 coats, and you can see I still had obvious VNL. I don't mind VNL with some shades, and this was one of those, but if you wanted it to be more opaque you'd probably need to use 3-4 coats.
The photo below shows what 3 coats looks like. There was still some slight VNL, but not much. The formula on this was lovely, self leveling and easy to work with. Also, nice and shiny... these photos are all without top coat. I loved how this color looked with my skintone. I see this being a neutral I definitely reach for in the future.
I then layered one coat of Linda Johansen Samba over WW. Samba is a glitter topper which includes 2 different sized hexes in a mix of purple, magenta, orange, and gold. I think this is a really pretty glitter mix for fall. There is some reflective curling with these glitters because they are all metallic, but everything was flat on the nail. I found that the application of this was best done with the dabbing method. When I attempted to drag, like I would with a normal polish, the glitter tended to want to clump up a bit, which you can see on my ring finger. I did get plenty of glitter onto the nail with just one coat though, so that was really nice!
You can find these polishes, along with many others from Linda Johansen, for sale at Norway Nails. They retail for 139 NOK. As always, you can use my special code to get 10% off your entire order at Norway Nails. The code to enter is SMASHLEY10. Happy shopping!
