The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek Week: Dungeons and Dragons Dice Set

Hi again!  Welcome back to Geek Week!  So, the back story for this mani first... Mr. Sparkles, along with his physics/rocket scientist nerdery, is also a big gamer.  He loves to play Dungeons and Dragons with his friends, and I have played with him a couple times.  It was quite fun, and I decided I wanted my very own dice set after we had played the first time.  I found this really awesome sparkly purple set, and I just had to have it!  How pretty are these?!  (Did you even know dice could be pretty?)

Anyway, D&D is the epitome of nerds/geeks, so I just had to do a mani dedicated to it.  I decided to paint the different die on my fingers.  I couldn't fit all of them, but I think 5 out of 7 gives you the idea!

My base is two coats Ciaté Cookies and Cream.  This is becoming a go to neutral for me!  I painted the dice on with Essie Mojito Madness.  I used green because it is Mr. S's favorite color.  I did the outlines with MASH Nail Art Polish in Black, and the numbering with a fine tipped sharpie.

This is now Mr. Sparkles's favorite mani that I have ever done, which makes me really happy.  Any gamers out there?  Did I do the dice justice?

On to more geeky goodness from my girls!

  10. Those are cute! :D I have a set of dice that are deep red with cloudy black and glittery gold and my favorite nerdy manicure is just to sponge paint my nails to match the background colors of my die.

You should try that, if you have the right colors. I bet you could match it pretty close if you've got the right violet, a navy and a sapphire glitter. (As devoted as you are to the craft, I'm betting you do. :P )
