The Digit-al Dozen Does Geek Week: Dragon Scales

Hi there darlings!  Are you ready for some more geekery?  Today's nails are inspired by Game of Thrones, which is one of my favorite shows.  I didn't start watching it until Mr. Sparkles started reading the books, then we watched together and I was so hooked.  My favorite character is Daenerys... she is so freaking bad ass, how could you not love her?!  Anyway, one of her titles is Mother of Dragons, so why not do some dragon nails?

I found this tutorial by a girl who made some dragon scale nails by carving out the texture using a dotting tool, which I thought looked so unique.  I just had to try it.

I started off with one coat of Zoya Veruschka, which I let dry only a little bit before going back in with my dotting tool to remove some of the color.  Once I did that to all my nails I sponged on a bit of OPI Electric Eel.  I didn't add any top coat because I didn't want to ruin the cool texture.

If you're a GoT watcher, who is your favorite character?

Check out more geeky fun from the other members of the DD!
