Hey there! So today I'm participating in this month's Lacquer Legion challenge. The theme for this go-round is Weird Science... how could I resist that? Of course Mr. Sparkles got in on the fun and helped me come up with the inspiration for this mani.
These are my glucose nails! The diagram on the middle two fingers is the glucose molecule. Its color coded; the purple dots (Color Club Disco Dress) represent carbon, the pink dots (KBShimmer Beach Please) represent oxygen, and the turquoise dots (KBShimmer Shore Thing) represent hydrogen.
Since glucose is sugar, I "sugared" my other nails with some loose iridescent white glitter over two coats of Beach Please. The base for my molecule diagram is two coats of Ciaté Cookies and Cream.
I hope you guys like this, and don't forget to check out all the other Weird Science manis by searching for #LLWeirdScience on your preferred source of social media!
Your artwork is amazing! I love the colors you chose!
ReplyYour pink sugar nails look awesome, so sparkly! I love the inspiration behind these too :)
ReplyWhat a great inspiration. Even if I'm a big sweet tooth, I try to avoid quick sugars as much as I can. :-P
ReplyIt's great to see you could join us this month. <3
Such sparkly goodness!
ReplyAwesome post... I was so excited when I just ran across this months Lacquer Legion prompt... My boyfriend's hobby is science.. It was so cool to be able to see both of our obsessions intersect... I was disappointed to only see 3 posts on Lacquer Legion's Facebook page... I wanted to thank you for posting a beautiful and also very interesting scientific based mani.. Good Job...
ReplyI always liked this mani, but I like it so much more now that I know what it's based on. Brilliant skittle x
