The Digit-al Dozen Does Love & Heartbreak - Banksy's Girl With the Balloon

Hi guys!  Its Day 3 of my very first Digital Dozen week, Love & Heartbreak!  Last month the DD did an art theme, and my friend Jacki from Adventures in Acetone did a super awesome Banksy mani.  If you don't know who Banksy is, he is a pretty well known graffiti artist.  I think one of his more well known pieces is the one of a little girl reaching out for a heart shaped balloon, and I thought that would fit nicely into our theme.

Here is the original piece:

I started off with 2 coats of MASH Nail Art Polish in White on all my nails.  I painted the outline and body of the girl with MASH Nail Art Polish in Black, and then went back in with the white to add the details.  The balloon is Zoya Sooki, and the same black for the string.  This was all freehand with a small nail art brush.

I am really proud of these, even though I am no where near as talented as Jacki is!  I hope some other Bansky lovers can appreciate these as well, and that I translated the original piece enough for it to be recognizable.

Now, let's go see what my friends have come up with today!
